Status Updates:The season of fallow seems to be drawing to an end. What's Next:The Wizard's Cat Future Ishmael Tanyth Fairport What I'm Reading: I'm catching up on all the new releases for the series in progress. A lot of litRPG to catch up on but also some space opera. This month's recommendation takes me back to some familiar ground, book 8 of Mackey Chandler's Family Law series. April's story begins in book 1 with some hair-raising hijinks involving a plethora of alien civilizations. I love the universe that Chandler has created with this sister series of his April series. The characters all ring true, even the aliens. I can hardly wait for the next chapter in this long sage. But if you haven't tried this series yet, maybe grab a sample of book 1 and see what you think. Looking Ahead: As I hinted at last month, my goal was to get back to having fun with the writing. It's been a long month of starts and stops, of this and that, but in the end I did it. I've had more fun in this last week than I've had in years. I couldn't get to it today. Too many outside influences that needed my attention but tomorrow, I'll be diving in early in the day and pushing the fun button hard. I've had some false starts. So many false starts. But this time, I think I've flipped the switch. I'll know by this time next month. Until then, safe voyage. -NL Remember Beta Readers: Every so often, I put out a call for beta readers. These are people who are willing to read the work in progress in a short period of time with only the briefest of notices. I'm going to be fine tuning this process going forward but if you'd like to be considered for future works, then click this link. And thanks. Fine Tuning: Would you prefer to get ONLY new release notices?YES, PLEASE Note: Newsletter people will get New Release notices, too, but |

Status Updates: The ground hog saw his shadow here and predicted six more weeks of writing before summer. What's Next: The Wizard's CatYes! Slow but steady will win this race. I'm back to writing almost every day and can see the story taking shape. It's still going to be a long slog as I rebuild my writing muscles but it's like any practice. Sloppy and misshapen but I begin to see real progress now. Future IshmaelStill planning on it eventually but no idea what, where, who, or how. Tanyth...
